Monthly Favourites (June 2015)

Some time ago in May, I realised I do have a lot of products and items that I like and would love to share with everyone, but the nature of concise Instagram posts meant that I can't do a precise review of each product and why I love them. Thus, the birth of this section on my blog in June this year!

Anyway, here are some products and items that I've really been loving this month, and I hope you do try them out / get them if you haven't, or if you have - I hope you liked them as much as I did! Note that while some products may have been sent over for review purposes, I only included them in this "Monthly Favorites" post because I really liked them!

Skincare Set from The Skin Pharmacy

I've actually been using these from The Skin Pharmacy for a little more than a month now and I've really grown to love the products! I actually went to do a skin consultation at The Skin Pharmacy and these products were recommended to suit my skin type and needs. So far, they've been working well and didn't have any adverse effects on my skin.

Cleanser – I got the Amino Extra Gentle Foam Cleanser that's usually prescribed for children, since my skin type is normal and I do not have any major skin issues. Rather than creamy cleansers that are usually more heavy on the skin, the foam cleanser is indeed really gentle. The additional perk is that it's foamy and well, fun to use.

Serum – I learned earlier that serums contain active ingredients that can be absorbed into deeper layers of the skin, and got the Herbal Serum for Placenta Action from The Skin Pharmacy. Placenta serums help reduce the appearance of age spots as well as hyperpigmentation, which causes uneven skin tone. I use it together with the rest of the skincare products from The Skin Pharmacy and so far, it's been keeping my skin clear and supple!

Eye Gel – I have never actually used any forms of eye gel or eye cream, but it's definitely much needed as I have dark eye rings that could double up as eyeshadow already, and I'm not even kidding! Anyway, the Total Care Intensive Repair Eye Gel has been serving me well thus far. A little really goes a long way.

Sunscreen – Again, I have never used sunscreens but after getting the Silky Smooth Sunscreen SPF 30, which has added moisturising effects as it's specially customised for me, I've been using it rather diligently. Sunscreens may appear to be useless in skincare routine, but after seeing how harmful it can be towards my skin in the skin consultation with The Skin Pharmacy, I swear by sunscreens! This one was especially good since it isn't oily or leaves a white cast like other sunscreens usually would.

Make Up Remover – I'm pretty impressed by The Skin Pharmacy's Natural Make Up Remover. Made entirely from natural ingredients, it removed my make-up really well and isn't oily at all. Also, as this make up remover was concocted to be left on the skin without washing off, I can have the option of not washing my face after. I still do though, just to be safe!

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask

This mask is so, so interesting! As the name suggests, it's an oxygen mask and as you can see from the photos above, the mask actually dispenses as in an orangey gel form, and within seconds after contact with water, it reacts and becomes a foam. I think the bits of air bubbles contain oxygen, which helps to rejuvenate, brighten and firm the skin. With that said, Bliss actually began as a spa and from there, they expanded and came up with products as such, for individuals to have "spa" treatments at home. You can find Bliss products at Sephora!

Fresh Sugar Face Polish

I actually received this product from Fresh just a week ago, but I really love how it feels on my skin! The sugar acts as an exfoliant, which scrubs gently on my skin to remove the dead skin and impurities. The result: bright skin that feels EXTREMELY smooth to the touch. I love this so much, and I've been using it every alternate day! I think this product may pass as one of my all-time favorites. You can find Fresh products at Sephora too, or their flagship store located at Ion Orchard. P/S: I highly recommend their lip treatment series too!

Laura Mercier Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colour in Myth

Ever since I owned a Laura Mercier Lip Liner in Potpourri, I've been searching for a similar color that matches that of the lip liner. This lip color, as well as the lip liner, matches my skin tone so well and yet it does not appear to be too bold or too light. I think it's a great color for a natural look.

Dazzlepro smilepack 7 day whitening system

I honestly was skeptical about teeth whitening products because I've tried a few and they didn't really 'whiten' my teeth as promised. However, this Dazzlepro whitening system did as it claimed to "whiten teeth within 7 days". In fact, I do see parts of my teeth turn shades lighter after using the products for 20-35 minutes a day. It's really simple to use too, where you just have to place the trays on your teeth and leave it on for a certain amount of time. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who'd wanna see immediate effects on their teeth!

Forever 21 Sunglasses

I got this at a steal from Forever 21! I love the color as well as design so much, and it's petite enough for my small face! At only 7SGD, I think this definitely had to be included as one of my favorites of the month.

Topshop copenhagen Lace-Up Trainers

Who can say no to white sneakers? I had my eyes on this pair the first time I saw them at Topshop. They're great for school too (if you're still schooling), and well... sneakers > heels anytime!

And this concludes my post for my June 2015 favorites! More to come each month, yeah?
